2011 Children’s Championship Series - Canceled I am sorry to announce that
the remainder of the 2011 Children’s Champ Series has been canceled. I have
spent the past few months looking for alternative courses at our race sites,
but sadly the demise comes down to two words: turf fields. Too many times over
the past few years I have arrived at our venue to find a
lacrosse/soccer/field hockey team has taken over the field. Keeping the kids
safe is my priority and I simply cannot count on a safe race site in the
future. The demand for space has increased dramatically since I started the
series five years ago. I want to thank the parents,
the young participants and the members of the Annapolis Strider’s Board of
Directors (past and present) for their support. Those of you who know me
understand this is not an easy decision.
The Children’s series is only
a small part of opportunities available to our young athletes. Below is a
list of upcoming events; please join me. As always, I am available via email
