Weekly Running Groups

 Marathon Training Runs (starts in July concludes at end of October)

 Saturdays 6:30 a.m. Jonas Green Park

Half-Marathon Training Runs (starts end of December, ends week before B&A Trail Half Marathon which is usually the 1st week of March)

 Saturdays 7:30 a.m. Jonas Green Park

 Non-Training Group Long Runs from Jonas Green Park at other times:

Ad Hoc Runners generally meet at Jonas Green Park on Saturdays between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. for self supported runs. You can use our Discussion Page to find partners for these runs, or just come on out and find fellow Striders at Jonas Green Park or on the B&A Trail!  Directions.

      Monday thru Friday 6:06 am at the top of Main Street
      in Annapolis.  All level runners welcome. The 6:06 group
      goes 5-1/2 miles on M/W/F and 4-1/2 miles on T/TH

 

Directions to Jonas Green Park parking lot: from Annapolis – go over Naval Academy Bridge on  over the Severn River Rte 450, turn right just over the bridge and make the first right as if you were going to the Severn Inn.  Continue straight into the parking lot for the park. Please park only in lined spaces. 

 

Running Directions to B&A Trail from Jonas Green Park: The 1st 100 yards or so of the Course are uphill from Jonas Green Park on the left side of Route 450. You will see a line and the letter “S” [Start] in the roadway near the WWII Memorial. Run North on Route 450 and at Boulters Way, make a left  onto Boulters Way. At Manresa, you will see a "1" which is one mile from the "S."

Run up the Boulters Way hill. At the top of the hill, you will see mile marker zero for the trail. Take a right onto the B&A Trail. It is about 1.5 miles from the "S"to the head of the B&A trail. There are mile markers on the B&A trail to help you gauge your distance. When you have run the prescribed distance, turn around and come back to Jonas Green Park crossing 450 at the crosswalk near the intersection of Boulters Way and 450, and running against traffic on the Annapolis 10 mile course. As you get near the bridge, you will see a white line and the letter “F,” which stands for finish
