Governor’s Bay Bridge Run 10K
Note: This is not the webpage for the current Bay Bridge Run and is historical.
THE GOVERNOR’S BAY BRIDGE RUN was a 10km foot race over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge conducted by the Annapolis Striders Inc. with the help of volunteers, the Maryland Department of Transportation and the Department of Natural Resources in conjunction with the Bay Bridge Walk. The course is not certified for distance (No, they would not close down the bridge so we could accurately measure it by USATF standards!).
THE RACE BEGAN ON KENT ISLAND at the foot of the Bridge, with 2 miles uphill, followed by 2 miles downhill and 2 miles on flat roads in Sandy Point State Park. Water stops were located at mile 2 and mile 4.
